Leadership coaching and development

Lead with clearer decisions and useful conversations.

Think through the decisions, feedback, accountability, and working relationships involved in leading others.

Individual coaching for a real leadership situation

For a new manager, an experienced leader taking on a different responsibility, or someone who wants space to think before a difficult conversation. Bring one decision or relationship: how to give feedback to a former peer, where to delegate ownership, or how to clarify expectations without taking every problem back onto yourself.

An individual conversation focuses on your perspective, the standard you need to communicate, and the effect your actions may have on others. Consider options, rehearse a conversation, and choose a next step you can own. You remain responsible for the decision and the policies that apply in your workplace.

Development for your next responsibility

Leadership development adds practice and reflection around a role you are preparing to take on. Start with the responsibilities of that role: setting expectations, checking understanding, giving useful feedback, and following through when work becomes difficult.

For example, a first-time manager may need to move from solving every task personally to teaching the standard and checking whether someone else can carry it out. Practice can focus on explaining a task, asking a useful question, or responding to a missed step while keeping accountability clear.

Individual coaching and team development

Individual coaching gives one leader focused time for their situation. A scoped team workshop can help managers practice a shared approach to expectations, communication, and feedback. Group development does not replace the confidential work of an individual conversation; discuss which format fits the people and the need.

  • Define the leadership responsibility or conversation to work on.
  • Separate the facts of the situation from assumptions about intent.
  • Practice a question, explanation, feedback conversation, or decision.
  • Agree on an action and a useful way to reflect on what happens next.

Agree on support before you begin

Online sessions use Google Meet by default. Ask about individual coaching, a scoped workshop, or in-person delivery. Timing, price, confidentiality expectations, and what is included are discussed before an engagement is agreed. Coaching supports development; a promotion, retention improvement, or other specific outcome is not promised.
